faunaphor

faunaphor is a new minimalist art-pop project from Noah Berman and Louis Weeks. Long-time collaborators with a new sound and renewed focus, Berman and Weeks’s Faunaphor blends their unique style of songwriting and inventive production on their debut record And There I Was. The 6-song And There I Was is a deliberate and measured composition that unfolds slowly over its 40 minute runtime to reveal a dramatic and striking musical landscape - full of rich imagery, emotional depth, and intimate performances.

While faunaphor is new project, Weeks and Berman have been making critically acclaimed and award-winning music for over 7 years. Their previous recordings have been featured on NPR, The Washington Post, and listed as one of the Best Local Releases by the Washington City Paper two records in a row.

faunaphor plans to release And There I Was in the early fall of 2017.

yOya

yOya is the project of longtime songwriting partners Alex Pfender and Noah Dietterich. Natives of Corvallis, Ore. and friends since the fifth grade, Pfender and Dietterich grew up to the sound of rain in the fir trees and 'Graceland' on cassette. When the duo moved to California to study music they found themselves semi-consciously absorbing the electronic sounds of the LA scene. What emerged was yOya's unique mix of folk-hearted songs, intricate vocal harmony, gritty synths, and thundering electronic beats.

With a full-length album, an EP, and several singles to their name, yOya has toured extensively through the United States, sharing stages with Big Thief, Moses Sumney, Bleachers, Phox, Dawes, RJD2, Avi Buffalo, and many others. They have also made appearances at SXSW and CMJ Music Marathon. The band is currently recording new music to be released later in 2017.
